I get it: the soil, the root, the "problematic tree", the branch... I remember reading somewhere a quote, maybe it was Nietzsche --- "You have heard it said 'You shall know them by their fruits....' but I say I shall know them by the soil from which it comes." Can you talk a little about the FRUIT of the tree?
I love this question! I would say that the fruit of the tree is what we call Ming in Chinese Medicine, which is our destiny or purpose. It's the gift that we offer to the world. When the tree is healthy, nourished by the soil and securely rooted in place, it bears more fruit. So self-care not only benefits the tree, it also allows the tree to nourish others too.
