Dear Patient,
Imagine a life with less.
Less stress. Less pain. Less conflict. Less burnout. Less heaviness.
We all want less. But in our quest for less, we often do the opposite—we do more. More appointments. More obligations. More activities. More stuff.
We’re conditioned to believe that our lives are improved by addition, when sometimes what we need to do is subtract. I tend to use a lot of needles in a treatment, but sometimes when a patient is really in distress I’ll radically subtract. Maybe ten needles. Maybe less. It’s a way to direct the body’s distracted, scattered energy to its most fundamental needs in that moment. It’s a good reset treatment.
We talk about wanting more out of life when we might actually be craving less. Do you want a life of less? What can you subtract?
Love and gratitude,

This is so perfect, friend. Your little notes often make me tear up...in a good way. xo
