Hello Readers, Happy Friday!
It’s been over six months since I launched Notes from Your Acupuncturist, and today I’m announcing a change to my publishing schedule—starting next week, you’ll be hearing from me three days a week instead of five.
Since launching in July 2021, I’ve written over 150 of these short notes. It’s a joy to write them and read your responses. But it’s an ambitious publishing schedule, which doesn’t allow much breathing room to explore some of the other features that Substack offers.
For example, I’d love to use Substack’s podcasting feature to share interviews and conversations with other acupuncturists. I know a number of my subscribers are acupuncturists—if you’re one of them, and you’d like to join me for an audio conversation, just hit reply to this email and let me know!
I also plan to incorporate video into future posts, especially to help illustrate acupuncture point locations. Substack’s video feature is currently in beta, but as soon as it’s available to all authors I plan to roll it out here.
And sometimes as I’m writing a piece, I’ll realize that I have more to say about a particular topic than 300 words will allow. I’m excited to add longer format essays as a companion to the short notes.
So that’s the plan. Starting next week, you’ll get a short note from me on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I’ll start including video as soon as that’s available, and I’ll drop a bonus post—either a longer essay or a podcast episode—as an occasional weekend treat.
Thank you for reading and supporting my work!
Love and gratitude,
Your Acupuncturist
